About the film:
OUT RAGE ’69, the first in the four-part series The Question of Equality, examines the social and historical environment that gave rise to the current movement for gay and lesbian civil rights in America as told by those who were there. From Stonewall to Anita Bryant, to Oregon Measure 9 and “don’t ask, don’t tell,” the Gay Liberation movement has fought for equal rights in a climate of hatred, violence, intolerance, and discrimination. The pursuit of individual liberty — the freedom to think and act freely — comes with the individual responsibility to not harm the freedom of others.

10 AM (gather before parade) — “Join the Struggle, Not the wars!”
That’s what we will be reminding San Diego PRIDE parade goers. SAME is teaming up with CFAC, SD Green Party, Unite Here Local 30, Peace Resource Center** and others to make this happen. Join a planning meeting in lieu of our 2nd Tuesday regular meeting at CFAC HQ to complete the fliers, posters and float decoration. We will have an open contingent again this year, all like minded folks and organizations are welcome to march with us.
** PRC & SDCPJ members/friends — please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 619-263-9301 for more details about how to join us marching in the parade. Also, you’ll want to get one of the excellent handmade “Pride in our Struggle” shirts (see attached picture). Let’s have a really big peace pride contingency!!
3 PM (after the Parade) — Rebel Queer Peace Pride Social
Depressed about this year’s PRIDE theme? Or about the cost of the Pride Festival? Well, join us at a free (to donate), trans-friendly, fun, gathering of activists and left-thinkers at the “Rebel Queer Peace” party we are throwing near the parade route at the CFAC HQ on 10th Ave. Email email@example.com if you’d like to help plan this amazing experience. More details to come next week, otherwise see you there!
