The Power of Peace!

On March 15, 2008, the San Diego Coalition for Peace and Justice and other member of the Peace community staged a march and rally to protest the fifth year of the invasion and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. Speakers included poet Steve Kowit, High School students opposed to the JROTC, an Iraq Veteran Against the War, political commentator and author Gore Vidal, and music by Son Jorocho. The protest, held in Teralta Park in San Diego’s City Height’s neighborhood was organized by Carol Jahnkow and the SDCPJ.
